It all started when my best friend offered to put Twilight on.  I really did not have much interest, figuring it was a “teen” thing.  Having read the books and having watched the movies, she knew what she was talking about and insisted it was really good and that I should just try it.  I gave in. 

Two movies later, it was 3:30a.m.  Needless to say, I was converted.  It was the biggest 180 degree turn I have ever done.  My best friend often remarks how she wishes she had a video camera that night and could have recorded my remarks. It went something like this:

“I don’t know about this.  Isn’t this for teenagers?  He is creepy.  His hair is ridiculous.”  Blah…..blah…..blah.

Then, I noticed there was something intriguing about the way Edward spoke.  Not quite an accent, but there was definitely something to it.  I have an ear for that sort of thing.  Hmmmm……”Maybe this could work”.  The story was actually interesting and had a lot more substance than I originally gave it credit for .  Then, I saw him come walking across the parking lot……”Oh my…..He doesn’t look half bad there.  He’s actually kind of hot.  Wow.”  That was all she wrote! 

That was it!  I was hooked.  I fell in love with these stories.  My best friend sent me home with Eclipse ,which I rapidly devoured and my husband bought me Breaking Dawn, which I read with the same intensity.  The books were even more intoxicating.  I cannot even fathom having the ability to create a story with such depth of emotion. 

 I am so thankful for that night that she talked me into watching those movies.  This just adds to the list of the MANY reasons she is my BEST friend!

And so this blog was born!  It is definitely a work in progress!  I am not a professional…..just a person who feels she needs a place to share all things Twilight!  Afterall, this is what comes into being When Twilight Happens to Good People!!!
